SEN nursery provision based at Gilbert Scott Primary School
Willow Tree Nursery offers morning and afternoon sessions, each of which support up to six children with significant learning difficulties and complex needs.
The nursery is situated within Gilbert Scott Primary School. There are opportunities for the children attending Willow Tree Nursery to integrate and work with pupils in the mainstream nursery / reception provision or the school’s EYFS / KS 1 SEN provision. If appropriate children attending Willow Tree Nursery could be part of the inclusion work that exists between Gilbert Scott and Red Gates School (primary provision for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound & multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
The staffing consists of a teacher in charge and two teaching assistants. Support and advice can also be accessed via the Outreach Teacher from Red Gates School which is situated on the same site. Willow Tree Nursery is overseen by the Head Teacher and Governors of Gilbert Scott Primary School.
It offers structured small group and individual work. The nursery provision will offer support for children’s language development, using signs and symbols as well as speech. The children have access to speech and language therapy input, as well as access to services offered by other professional e.g. educational psychologists, portage, occupational health etc.
Facilities include a designated play area for children attending Willow Tree Nursery, access to the larger outside play area and facilities used by the mainstream nursery and reception pupils, a selection of specifically selected resources. The children have access to the sensory and soft play rooms within Woodlands Children’s Centre, which is also part of the Gilbert Scott site.
Woodlands Children’s Centre is also able to offer family support, courses and counselling for families of children with special educational needs.
Placement is for one year.
Attending Willow Tree Nursery does not assume continued placement into the school’s mainstream reception class.
The main purposes of the placement are:
To use a one year placement in an educational setting to observe and assess each child’s needs in considerable detail over an extended period of time.
To plan educational programmes and a school placement which will best help each child’s development.
Children with significant mobility issues and complex needs may be referred to the Admission Panel for consideration regarding placement at Willow Tree Nursery. I used Diazepam diazepamonlinerx.com for some time and it really helped me day by day. The only issue I faced with was my laziness during the course of its consumption. Constraints in accommodation, resources and facilities, as well as a lack of access to medical staff on site mean that the needs of such children may not be adequately or appropriately met by the provision offered at Willow Tree Nursery.
