Term Dates

Autumn Term 2009

·     Term commenced on Thursday 3 September 2009 and ends on Friday 18 December 2009.

Spring Term 2010

·     Term commences on Monday 4 January 2010 and ends on Thursday 1 April 2010.

·     Half term is Monday 15 February 2010 - Friday 19 February 2010 inclusive.

·     Easter break is Friday 2 April 2010 - Friday 16 April 2010 inclusive.

Summer Term 2010

·     Term commences on Monday 19 April 2010 and ends on Friday 23 July 2010.

·     Half term is Monday 31 May 2010 - Friday 4 June 2010 inclusive

Children in Need Day

 

As mentioned in a letter last week, we will be asking for a donation of 50p per child to give to "Children in Need" on Friday 20^th November.

We would like each year group to wear a different colour of the rainbow:-

Foundation Stage (Nursery & Reception) = Violet (pinky/purple)

Year 1 = Indigo (Light purple/lilac)

Year 2 = Blue

Year 3 = Green

Year 4 = Yellow

Year 5 = Orange

Year 6 = Red

Please also donate a piece of fruit to help the children make a "rainbow" fruit salad.

 

School Photographers

 

The photographic company will be coming to collect any envelopes for photographs that you want to buy on Wednesday 25^th November.

Please remember that you will need to post any late orders yourselves together with a late payment charge.

 

Father Christmas

 

On Wednesday 2^nd December Santa will be in school. Please send your child into school with £1.50 in a named envelope if they wish to see Santa and receive a small gift.

 

Christmas Fayre

 

On Thursday 3^rd December we will be having our Christmas Fayre at 3.30 p.m. Please come along and support us. If you cannot come please help us by buying some raffle tickets.

 

Christmas Lunch

 

On Friday 11^th December children who are entitled to free school meals will be having their Christmas lunch. If you would like to buy Christmas lunch for your child please order at www.mealselector.co.uk or pay £2.10 at the school office before Friday 27^th November. The menu is:-

Chipolata Sausage and Stuffing Balls

Or

Festive Cheese Pasta

Christmas Performances

 

"Born in a Barn"

Infant School (Key Stage 1 - Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & 2)

 

Tuesday 8^th December 9.30 a.m. and Wednesday 9^th at 1.45 p.m.

  

Families may have 2 tickets per family for one of the performances

  

 "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"

Junior School (Key Stage 2 - Years 3, 4 & 5)

 

Tuesday 15^th December at 1.45 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

  

Families may have 2 tickets per family for one of the performances.

  

  

  

A crèche staffed by school employees will be available at all morning and afternoon performances for you to leave younger siblings in. If you do not wish to use the crèche facilities PLEASE make your own child care arrangements. Due to Fire Regulations and Health & Safety Regulations children and babies are unable to sit on adult's laps.

  

All children in school will have the opportunity to watch their brothers and sisters during the dress rehearsals.

 

Please note that children under 10 years of age will NOT be allowed at the evening performances.

 

Please return attached slip and your tickets will be returned via your child/children

 

 

Party Day

 

On Thursday 17^th December the children will be having their Christmas parties. Children will not need a packed lunch on this day. Please sign up and donate party food on the lists in each year group nearer the time.

 

Please do not order hot meals on this day if you wish your child to contribute food towards the party.

 

Children may wear party clothes on this day if they wish to.

 

All Nursery children will be attending from 10.00 a.m. until 2.00 p.m. on this day.

 

All Reception children will be at school for the whole of the school day (8.50 a.m. until 3.15 p.m.)

 

End of Term

 

 

Last Day of term is Friday 18^th December and the new term begins on Monday 4^th January 2009.
